A South-Central Pennsylvania native, Larry Selman was raised in a military
family. His love of history and art has been nurtured all of his life.
These interests led him to enroll at The York Academy of Art and earn
a commercial art degree in l982. Following graduation, Selman built a
successful career with paperback novel illustration. He collaborates with
top art directors and major publishers from over the country. He has expanded
his business to include Fine Art & Gallery representation of the American
West while, in addition, is a primary contributor to Hasbro's GI Joe action
figure product line.
His works are included in private collections and museums throughout
the United States and Canada. Recently, he released his first print, "Hour
of Liberation", depicting the airborne operation conducted in Normandy,
France. His plans for future work include creating additional paintings
and prints portraying significant moments in American history.
